| IFWTO was founded in 1969 and until 2008 when it joined SKAL Int’l, it numbered 5.000 members in 31 countries. |

| IFWTO participated in the Institute for peace around the world, the committee for the tourism development of the United Nations and its Council had a significant presence in international action to combat paido-sexo-tourism. |

| The Association of Greek Women in Tourism hosted twice already, annual IFWTO Conferences. |
